UK market expansion for an established natural products seller

Inkavital is a natural products business specialising in maca powder, maca capsules, and related superfoods. Malisa had been selling online since 2003 — first on her own systems, then on the Magento platform we built for the German store in 2012. When she was ready to expand to the UK market, she came back to open-ecommerce.org to build the UK store.

The UK store needed its own Magento installation — configured for the British market with GBP pricing, UK payment processing, and appropriate shipping options — but drawing on the same catalogue and brand as the successful German operation.

Building on our existing knowledge of Inkavital's business from the German store project, the UK store came together efficiently:

• Responsive Magento store with a theme consistent with the Inkavital brand — natural product aesthetic, clean product presentation, and a shopping experience suited to health-conscious UK customers
• UK market configuration throughout: GBP pricing, UK payment gateway integration, Royal Mail shipping methods, and VAT handling appropriate for UK retail
• Product catalogue covering Inkavital's full range of maca products and superfoods, adapted from the German catalogue with UK-appropriate content and descriptions
• SEO configuration for UK organic search — page titles, meta descriptions, and site structure oriented towards the natural products and superfood queries UK customers use
• CMS training so Malisa could manage the UK store independently alongside the German operation, without needing developer support for product updates, promotions, or order management
